Bin Mafia Terms of Service

1. Rental Agreement & Term

All dumpster rentals are for a 3-day period unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Each additional 24-hour period is subject to a charge of $25/day.
Customers are responsible for scheduling pickup before the end of the rental period to avoid extra charges.

2. Bin Placement & Access

Customer must provide a safe, accessible, and legal space for bin placement.
Placement instructions must be detailed at checkout or confirmed before delivery.
If delivery or pickup is blocked, inaccessible, or unsafe, a return trip fee may apply.
Bins must not be moved by the customer once placed.

3. Permitted Waste, Disposal Fees & Loading Limits

All disposal is billed at the actual landfill fee based on the landfill scale ticket.
A 25% fuel surcharge and 15% commercial surcharge are applied to the landfill disposal fee.
Customers must ensure materials are evenly distributed and do not exceed the rim of the bin.
Heavy materials, including concrete, dirt, brick, asphalt, gravel, and similar dense materials, must be approved and placed only in the appropriate bin.
Overloaded, unsafe, contaminated, or improperly sorted loads may be refused, delayed, or subject to additional charges.

4. Prohibited Materials

Subject to local landfill regulations of prohibited items.

Do not dispose of any of the following, but not limited to:

Hazardous or regulated waste (paint, oils, solvents, chemicals)
Asbestos or contaminated materials
Electronics, batteries, propane tanks, or medical waste
Liquids, biohazards, or tires

Disposing of any prohibited materials may result in handling fees, legal action, or removal of service.

5. Damage & Property Liability

Bin Mafia is not responsible for damage to driveways, lawns, pavers, or surfaces during bin placement or removal.
Surface protection is the customer’s responsibility.
Once delivered, the bin is under the full care and control of the customer.

6. Customer Responsibilities

Ensure the bin is not overloaded, blocked, or tampered with. Bin Mafia reserves the right to refuse collection of overloaded containers. Additional charges may apply for labour, reloading, secondary trips, or overweight loads.
Do not burn, paint, cut, or relocate the bin.
The customer is responsible for any damage beyond normal wear and tear, including graffiti or structural harm.

7. Fees, Payment & Invoicing

Full payment is required at time of booking.
After pickup, the customer will be final invoiced for actual landfill disposal fees, the 25% fuel surcharge, the 15% commercial surcharge, extra rental days, prohibited materials, return trips, blocked access, or other applicable charges.
If the bin is overweight, contains prohibited materials, or exceeds the rental period, the customer will be invoiced after pickup for any additional charges.
Bin Mafia does not store credit card information.
Invoices must be paid within 7 days of issue to avoid late fees.
Customer agrees to pay all costs of collection, including collection agency fees, legal fees, court costs, and related expenses incurred in recovering unpaid amounts.
Commercial customers may be charged disposal, environmental, fuel recovery, contamination, handling, or other waste-related surcharges in addition to rental fees.
Bin Mafia does not store credit card information.
Invoices must be paid within 7 days of issue to avoid late fees.

8. Cancellations & Refunds

No refunds will be issued once a booking is made unless Cancellation Insurance was purchased at checkout.
Cancellation Insurance allows for a full refund if cancellation is requested at least 24 hours before the scheduled delivery time.
If no insurance was purchased, all sales are final.

9. Pickup Conditions

Bins must be ready, accessible, and safe for pickup.
Bins that are blocked, overloaded, or contain prohibited waste may result in additional handling charges or refusal of service.
A return trip fee may apply for unsuccessful pickups.

10. Limitation of Liability

Bin Mafia is not responsible for delays due to traffic, weather, road closures, or third-party interference.
Customer’s sole remedy for service disruption is a reschedule or service credit at our discretion.
Bin Mafia shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

11. Indemnification

Customer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Bin Mafia, its employees, and contractors from any and all liability arising from misuse, damage, or failure to follow these terms.

12. Governing Law

This agreement is governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada.
Disputes will be resolved in the jurisdiction of Grand Forks, BC or nearest jurisdiction.

13. Acceptance of Terms

By placing an order, the customer agrees to these Terms of Service.
Confirms understanding of fees, responsibilities, and refund limitations.
The customer confirms understanding of rental fees, actual landfill disposal fees, fuel surcharge, commercial surcharge, responsibilities, and refund limitations.
The customer acknowledges they may be invoiced after pickup for landfill disposal fees, surcharges, extra rental days, prohibited materials, return trips, blocked access, or other applicable charges.
